Reiki
What is Reiki?
Originating in Japan, Reiki harnesses universal life energy. Known as “ki” or “qi,” Reiki transfers through the hands of a skilled practitioner. By channeling this vital force energy, Reiki aims to activate the body’s natural healing processes, reducing stress and tension while enhancing overall well-being.
Reiki is gentle and non-invasive. It is accessible to people of all ages and conditions. On top of that, it is effective to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being. While scientific research on Reiki is ongoing, countless individuals continue to experience its effects firsthand.
If you are seeking a holistic approach to healing and self-care, Reiki offers a natural and empowering option. Discover the transformative potential of this ancient practice and unlock a path toward balance and well-being.
The history of Reiki traces back to Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist monk who developed the practice in the early 20th century. Usui’s spiritual journey on Mount Kurama led to an enlightening experience through which he gained the ability to heal. Afterward, Usui passed on his teachings to Chujiro Hayashi, who further refined and expanded the system. Eventually, Hawayo Takata, a Japanese-American woman, introduced Reiki to the Western world.
